ABOUT JOAN McDONALD SCHOOL

 

    The Joan McDonald School- a branch

of the renowned Lahore institution –opened

in Islamabad in 2001; it is centrally situated

at St.9, Sector H-8/4. The school offers its

students a complete and thorough education

which blends traditional excellence with

modern efficiency. This institution prepares

students for the Cambridge University

O Level examination, it has highly qualified

staff, is headed by a doctorate  while the junior section functions under the meticulous supervision of a graduate of the Montessori international, Holland.

               While encouraging academic growth is the main objective of the school, the staff endeavors at  the same time to build character and inculcate a high sense of discipline among students. Students remain under the constant supervision of the staff; our discipline is gentle but firm.

            The Lahore branch which was established in 1933 has raised responsible citizens who have made a significant contribution to the nation. A former head of Government studied here; also a former Chief Minister did his matric from this school. Joan McDonald Lahore, has produced Ambassadors, Inspectors General of Police and Federal Secretaries to Government. In other vital fields our alumni include the eminent jurist Dr. Khalid Ranjha,the late Senator Iqbal Haider, the famous painter Dr. Ajaz Anwar, TV and screen hero Usman Pirzada and the very talented and celebrated Nayara .
